Between 2020 and 2025, the Covid-19 pandemic will amputate the world's gross domestic product by $ 22 trillion, said the chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Gita Gopinath, this Tuesday at a conference of hurry.
This is a "cumulative loss" which should be compared with the level of world GDP that the IMF had estimated before the pandemic, said Gita Gopinath, presenting the latest global economic forecasts.

In June 2020, the IMF estimated the cumulative losses for the world economy for 2020 and 2021 at more than $ 12 trillion.
