"The bill, according to which the internal affairs bodies can store fingerprint data of a number of citizens until their death or until they reach 100 years of age, passed an independent anti-corruption examination, but the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused to further develop it, their bill will not be considered," TASS leads words of the representative of the ministry.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs prepared a bill to increase the storage period for fingerprint data of Russians until they reach 100 years of age or until the moment of death.

In October, Russia proposed introducing a mandatory medical examination and fingerprinting for citizens from the EAEU countries who come without a visa and stay in Russia for more than a month.
