China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd. announced on the 2nd that 18 sets of Taiwanese ID card readers will be installed at the Hangzhou-Shenzhen Line and Shanghai-Kunming Line stations.

Up to now, there are a total of 42 stations in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces, and 51 automatic ticket vending machines have the function of reading the Taiwan compatriot certificate, which further facilitates the self-service purchase and collection of tickets for Taiwanese passengers.

At present, Fujian, which is at the forefront of cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, is actively exploring new ways for cross-strait integration and development, speeding up the construction of Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises landing the first home, and successively introducing a series of preferential policies and measures that provide Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises with equal treatment.

At the beginning of the new year, Fujian has been deepening the implementation of equal treatment for Taiwanese compatriots and Taiwanese enterprises frequently.

According to Wang Ting, a staff member of Fuzhou Railway Station, at present, all ticket gates at Fuzhou Railway Station are equipped with Taiwanese ID card readers.

Passengers holding Taiwanese residence permits and other documents can directly redeem paper tickets at all self-service ticket machines at Fuzhou Railway Station, and can quickly travel through the verification of the ticket holder by swiping the Taiwan compatriot card.

A number of Taiwan compatriots “liked” the use of licenses for Fujian coastal railways.

Taiwanese compatriot Fang Yiru commented that the "contactless" service launched by the railway is both convenient and safe, which impresses Taiwanese.

Huang Boqin, a Taiwan teacher at Sunshine College, also pointed out that he felt that the equal treatment of Taiwanese compatriots and Taiwanese enterprises continued to advance, and he was confident that the employment and life of Taiwan compatriots in the mainland would get better.
