Tübingen (dpa / lsw) - In Tübingen, operators of cosmetic studios, massage facilities and driving schools can also receive free quick tests for their workforce and their customers from Monday.

These could be used without medical professionals, said Mayor Boris Palmer (Greens) on Friday.

"With the free rapid tests, we support the companies that need such tests so that they can quickly open up again and offer their usual services," explained Palmer.

So far, 175,000 euros have been received for this, obtained by the German Red Cross in the Tübingen district.

The Tübingen hairdressing salons kicked off the free rapid tests at the beginning of the week.

According to Palmer, more than 40 salons have equipped themselves with rapid tests and trained their staff.

While the staff make use of the free offer in large numbers, most customers are still reluctant.

Palmer appeals to everyone to be tested by the hairdresser first: “We owe our new freedom to the low incidences in Tübingen.

To keep it that way, I ask everyone to make intensive use of the free test offers. "

The incidence value per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days in the Tübingen district was most recently 35. This is one of the lowest in Baden-Württemberg.
