Meppen (dpa / lni) - SV Meppen suffered a setback in the relegation battle of the 3rd division.

After victories against the promotion candidates Ingolstadt, Mannheim and Rostock, the Emslanders lost on Wednesday evening against the previous bottom of the table FSV Zwickau with 1: 2 (0: 1).

Morris Schröter scored both goals for the Saxons in the 51st and 68th minutes.

Jeron Al-Hazaimeh (90 + 4) only met for the hosts in stoppage time.

Just like SV Meppen in November, the FSV had come out of quarantine before this game after several corona cases.

In the 85th minute, Zwickau's Nils Miatke saw the red card.

Instead of further advancing from the four relegation places, the SVM is now only one point ahead of Zwickau.
