Oliver Solberg continues to drive impressively in his WRC debut.

When SS9, the penultimate in the rally, was completed on Sunday morning, Solberg drove in the time 10.10.8, only 3.3 seconds slower than the distance winner Elfyn Evans.

At the same time, Solberg took a firmer grip on sixth place, where he now has nine seconds down to seventh-placed Katsuta.

Impressed expert

In SVT's live broadcast, the expert commentator Jonas Kruse praised the debutant's driving.

- Oh oh oh.

It's just to enjoy, says Kruse.

Solberg was not as pleased.

- I was far too careful in the beginning.

In the middle, I was able to let go and found the feeling again, says Solberg at the stretch goal.

Hyundai driver Ott Tänak, Estonia, continues to lead before the last leg.

He has 19.2 seconds down to the Finn Kalle Rovanperä, Toyota.

Belgian Thierry Neuville, Hyundai, is third and only 1.9 seconds behind Rovanperä.
