On Friday afternoon, SMHI assesses the risk of grass fires in Dalarna as large and has issued a class 1 warning.
The snow cover has disappeared in some places and the dry last year's grass looked ahead.
This in combination with sun and more heat increases the risk of fires.
The warning applies to the entire county, except for the Dala mountains, but mainly southeast of Lake Siljan in snow-free areas.
On Friday, sun and relatively warm temperatures are expected in the county and hence an increased risk of grass fires. The weather is also expected to be mostly sunny this weekend, so there is a risk that the warning will also apply for the weekend.
