The "Spiegel" had reported that Spahn had attended a dinner with about a dozen entrepreneurs in Leipzig on October 20.
In the morning, Spahn pointed out on ZDF that the main points of contagion are when partying and socializing, privately or at events such as a party.
On October 21, the Ministry of Health announced that Spahn had tested positive for the virus in the afternoon.
According to the calendar entry, Spahn was present at the meal from 8 p.m. to around 9:30 p.m., his Bundestag office announced on Saturday at the request of the German Press Agency.
"The then valid rules of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance were complied with after confirmation from the host," emphasized Spahn's office.
All participants in the dinner were reported to the responsible health department as contact persons after the positive test and were also informed at the same time by Spahn or the host.
As far as is known, all of them went into quarantine immediately afterwards and, according to the host, tested negative.
