Future US President Joe Biden has accused incumbent Donald Trump and his administration of failing cybersecurity.
He called on the incumbent US president to identify who was responsible for a massive and long-lasting hacker attack, including on US government agencies.
The attack took place under Trump's supervision - while he looked the other way, the 78-year-old said at a press conference in Wilmington, Delaware.
The truth is that Donald Trump's administration has failed to prioritize cybersecurity, Biden said.
"There is still so much that we do not know".
It is clear, however, that the attack poses a serious risk to the security of the country.
In addition to cybersecurity experts, US government officials also suspect Russia was behind the attack.
The outgoing Justice Minister William Barr recently expressed himself accordingly.
The president recently pretended to see it differently - and suggested without evidence that China could be behind it.

Biden, who receives intelligence briefings in preparation for his inauguration, said preparations for the attack had been going on since at least 2019. Several federal agencies, including the Treasury Department, had said they were the target of the attack.
