Gelsenkirchen (dpa) - The bottom of the table, FC Schalke 04, has to tackle the apparently unsolvable task at the start of the second half of the Bundesliga against front-runner FC Bayern Munich without the two hopefuls that have returned.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (37), who was brought back from Ajax Amsterdam last week, has to postpone his comeback for the Royal Blues because of his persistent calf problems.

And the home grown Sead Kolasinac, loaned from Arsenal FC, is also missing because of thigh problems.

In his third appearance since returning on Wednesday against 1. FC Köln (1: 2), the left-back was replaced.

In addition, substitute goalkeeper Frederik Rönnow is not available due to groin problems.

Bayern coach Hansi Flick made three changes compared to the 1-0 win during the week at FC Augsburg.

Niklas Süle, Alphonso Davies and Leroy Sané replace Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernández and Kingsley Coman.

Flick is making changes to three of the four outside positions, including two defensive ones.

The fact that Süle replaces the French Pavard has nothing to do with his performance in Augsburg, as Flick emphasized.

“Basically, in terms of his dynamic, what he brings into the game, he's a little further.

For us this is a good direction.

That's how we want to see him.

I praised him for that.

I am not so critical of him, "said Flick the TV channel Sky.
