Gelsenkirchen (AP) - Bundesliga soccer club FC Schalke 04 is officially campaigning for a commitment from its former coach Ralf Rangnick.
«The FC Schalke 04 supervisory board has already contacted Ralf Rangnick's advisor.
We will not provide any further information at this point in time, ”the club announced on Monday at the request of the German press agency.
Rangnick himself does not officially comment at the moment.
Ralf Rangnick is to become the new sports director according to the will of influential people from business and politics from the environment of the Bundesliga last.
This is supported by fans of the club, with whom Rangnick enjoys great trust.
A petition was started on the Internet demanding his commitment as a sports director and which has already found tens of thousands of supporters.
