At an intersection in Saitama prefecture, it was found that there were about 340 crackdowns on the right turn of a moped motorcycle without formal procedures in at least eight years.

The Saitama Prefectural Police will cancel the disposition and return the penalties paid.

When police regulate the scene to crack down on traffic violations, they must be decided by the prefectural Public Safety Commission.

However, the Saitama Prefectural Police cracked down on the "two-step right turn" of the moped motorcycle at the three intersections of Wako City and Niiza City without receiving the decision of the Public Safety Commission, and the driver was arrested. I found out in the interview.

At least in the eight years until October last year, there are about 340 cases.

The driver had committed a traffic violation, but the police will cancel the disposition because the procedure was inadequate and will return the penalty paid.

We are also investigating whether similar crackdowns have been carried out at other intersections in the prefecture.

Saitama Prefectural Police said, "We deeply apologize to those who mistakenly announced the violation. We will give thorough guidance to prevent the same thing from happening in the future."
