China News Agency, Berlin, March 5 (Reporter Peng Dawei) The 71st Berlin International Film Festival announced on the 5th the winners of the main competition unit. Romanian director Radu Jude's new film won the Golden Bear Award for Best Picture.

  The film that won the Golden Bear Award at this Berlin Film Festival revolves around a story triggered by the leak of a private video tape.

The international jury of the Berlin Film Festival stated in the award speech that the film captures the essence of the extraordinary moments that human beings are currently in.

  Winners of the Silver Bear Award at this year’s film festival include: Japanese director Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s "Occasion and Imagination" won the Jury Prize; the German film "Mr. Bachmann and His Class" won the Jury Prize; Hungarian director Dinasch Na Ji won the Best Director Award for "Natural Light"; German actress Marlen Egert won the Best Leading Role Award; Hungarian actress Lila Kizlinger won the Best Supporting Role Award.

The Best Screenplay and Outstanding Artistic Achievement Awards were awarded to "Introduction" and "A Police Film" respectively.

  Although Chinese-language films were not shortlisted in the main competition unit of this Berlin Film Festival, there are still two Chinese-language films that won awards at this festival.

Among them, Zhang Dalei's work "Half of the Afternoon Passed" won the Silver Bear Award Short Film Jury Award.

"Hannah Summer" directed by Shuai Han won the best film in the new generation children's section.

  The Berlin Film Festival, Cannes and Venice are also known as the three major international film festivals in Europe.

As the new crown epidemic is still raging, this Berlin Film Festival will move the link for the film industry to be held online for the first time.

The industry screenings held from March 1 to 5 are open to judges and the media.

In June, an award ceremony and public screenings are planned.
