Berlin / Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - According to the Robert Koch Institute, the seven-day value for new corona infections in Saxony-Anhalt was 115.1 on Sunday morning.

That was evident from the RKI dashboard.

The previous day it had a value of 118.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days after 110.6 on Friday.

According to the information, 346 new corona infections were reported to the RKI within 24 hours.

This means that the seven-day incidence in Saxony-Anhalt is above the 100 mark for the eighth day in a row.

According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence also exceeded this mark across Germany on Sunday and was 103.9 after 99.9 the previous day.

After the neighboring states of Thuringia (207.7) and Saxony (145.2), Saxony-Anhalt has the highest number of infections nationwide.

According to the RKI, nine federal states exceeded the 100 value on Sunday morning.

According to the RKI, eight districts in Saxony-Anhalt exceeded the limit value on Friday morning: These were the districts of Stendal (133.1), Jerichower Land (129.5), Börde (106.5), Harz (127.0), Wittenberg ( 104.8), the Saalekreis (128.9), the Burgenlandkreis (190.1) and the independent city of Halle (171.7).
