Recent precedents in Montoir-de-Bretagne
Authorities regularly seize drugs from shipments passing through the port, but a seizure of such a large amount of cocaine is unusual
In October 2019, around 140 kg of cocaine from the West Indies had been seized in Montoir-de-Bretagne, on the site of the autonomous port.
More recently, on April 7, 2020, 50 kg of coke had been discovered in a container, also in Montoir-de-Bretagne.
