"An application has been submitted for approval of the use in emergency situations in Russia and some other countries of the single-component vaccine Sputnik Light," says the Sputnik V vaccine on Twitter.

The vaccine is expected to become available in March.

Earlier in Moscow, vaccination of volunteers with "Sputnik Light" began in the framework of an international clinical trial of the third phase, which will also take place in the United Arab Emirates among persons over 18 years old who have not previously been vaccinated with "Sputnik V" and have no other contraindications.

On February 17, the Russian Ministry of Health approved the international clinical trial of the third phase of Sputnik Light.
