Erfurt (dpa / th) - According to a recent survey, a coalition of the Left, SPD and Greens would still not have its own majority in Thuringia.
Although the left would again be the strongest force with 29 percent, it has lost two percentage points compared to its election result in autumn 2019, according to a survey by infratest-dimap on behalf of the MDR.
The SPD comes to ten percent in the survey - and would thus be around two percentage points better than in autumn 2019. The Greens, however, are only five percent in the survey - behind the FDP, which can improve to six percent.
For both parties, a return to the state parliament does not seem certain.
According to the survey, an alliance of the Left, SPD and Greens would only make up 44 percent - and would miss a majority.
Thuringia would then face a similar dilemma as in 2019. According to the survey, the AfD would again be the second strongest force in Thuringia with 23 percent - ahead of the CDU, which has 22 percent.
Majority coalitions without the left or AfD would not be possible.
In Thuringia, a new state parliament is to be elected on September 26th - together with the general election.
However, the current parliament has to be dissolved first.

The survey also shows that satisfaction with the red-red-green coalition has declined in the past months, which were shaped by the corona pandemic.
According to this, only 46 percent of those surveyed are satisfied with the work of the current government - in August 2020, it was 63 percent in an infratest-dimap survey.
The country's most popular politician remains Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left).
However, only 51 percent of those surveyed are satisfied with their work.
In August 2020, this value was 66 percent.
Ramelow has been leading a red-red-green minority government since March 2020, which is dependent on votes from the CDU in parliament.
