Gråsjölören, a small island outside Södra hamn in Luleå, usually gathers crowds of Luleå residents and tourists during the winter and spring sunny days.
But the increased spread of infection in Luleå means that Lions are canceling plans to open sales of hot dogs, coffee and waffles.
- There has been speculation in the mass media regarding the serving activities that the Lions Club has conducted for many years.
The board has now decided not to open, either under its own or someone else's auspices, the association writes in a press release.
Hoping for a quick comeback
Lions service with the island's restrooms and firewood will continue as usual - and they hope for a quick comeback.
- Hopefully, the winter / spring of 2022 will mean other conditions with a return to our traditional sales at Gråsjälsören.
