Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Baden-Württemberg is significantly expanding the group of people eligible for vaccination against the corona virus.

As of now, other groups between the ages of 18 and 64 years can be administered the vaccine from the manufacturer Astrazeneca, as Social Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) announced on Friday in Stuttgart.

This includes people with certain pre-existing conditions as well as people who are the close contact of a pregnant woman or certain people cared for at home.

Eligibility must be proven with a medical certificate.

Around 450,000 doses of Astrazeneca vaccine are expected in the southwest by mid-March.
