Over time, there have been increasingly strict restrictions due to the corona pandemic, which has ravaged since last spring.

Christmas shopping is associated with congestion and this has led many consumers to buy Christmas presents online instead.

- Throughout the year, the growth of e-commerce has been enormous, but that Christmas gift shopping online increases by almost 60 percent, it exceeds my expectations, says Carl-Fredrik Teder, retail analyst at PostNord to SVT Nyheter Väst.

According to the survey, clothes and shoes are the most popular Christmas gift category when it comes to online Christmas shopping, just like last year.

Books and media come in second place, followed by children's products and toys.

"Up to a thousand packages a day"

The increasing e-commerce has put a lot of pressure on the agents who hand out the packages, and one of them is store owner Adam Assi in central Gothenburg.

- Now it's good but before it was hell with up to a thousand packages a day.

Now it has returned to normal at around 400 packages a day, he tells SVT Nyheter Väst.

In the clip above, you can see how several customers reason when they pick up their packages during pandemic times.
