Berlin / Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The Federal Ministry of Health has given the all-clear for Berlin and Brandenburg after doubts about the cooling of corona vaccines from the manufacturer Moderna.
"The quality of the vaccines was not affected by the transport, and the vaccines can be used safely," said a spokesman on request on Wednesday in Berlin.
At the request of the German Press Agency in Düsseldorf, the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Health also announced: "There are no problems with the cooling of the vaccine supplied by the Moderna company to North Rhine-Westphalia by a company commissioned by the Bundeswehr."
In addition, according to the Ministry's knowledge, the delivery to the North Rhine-Westphalian central warehouse takes place on a different route than the deliveries to Berlin and Brandenburg.
A first tranche with 13,200 vaccine doses from the US manufacturer Moderna reached NRW last Tuesday.
The preparation is the second approved vaccine next to the drug from the manufacturers Biontech and Pfizer.
Further deliveries are planned from the last week of January.
NRW started vaccinations against the corona virus immediately after the Christmas holidays.
