Bochum (dpa / lnw) - During a check for missing masks in Bochum, a 27-year-old is said to have hit an employee of the public order office with his fist in the face.

Then he is said to have knocked out wildly with a metal part lying on the ground, the police said on Monday.

Fortunately, nobody was hit.

According to the information, the clerks had pointed out the missing protective mask to the 27-year-old and his 15-year-old companion on Sunday in the city center.

The two are said to have tried to evade the identification with insulting words.

The 15-year-old could have been held until the police arrived.

The 27-year-old ran away.

Now the police are investigating.
