"The staff at educational and care facilities in attendance should initially receive an offer of two rapid tests per week by Easter," said a joint message from the two ministries on Friday in Stuttgart.
According to the previous decision, teachers would have had the opportunity to be tested three times by Easter.
The increase in the number of tests is intended to accompany the opening of daycare centers and primary schools after the carnival holidays on February 22nd, if the number of infections allows a relaxation.
A spokeswoman for Lucha explained that the mass tests, for example for police officers, bus drivers and supermarket cashiers, that were also brought up by CDU top candidate Eisenmann were not part of the concept.
