As the international order changes due to the conflict between the United States and China, the Liberal Democratic Party's Strategic Headquarters said that a national strategy from the perspective of economic security is necessary, and will prepare the "Economic Security Collective Promotion Law" at the ordinary session of the Diet next year. We have summarized the proposals we are looking for.

In June, the Liberal Democratic Party set up a strategic headquarters to consider the socio-economic situation after the convergence of the new coronavirus, and compiled a proposal based on the discussions so far.

According to this, in order to respond to the rapid changes in the international order, including the conflict between the United States and China, it is necessary to formulate an "economic security strategy" that considers national interests from an economic perspective, and to the government. We are calling for the enactment of the "Economic Security Collective Promotion Law" at the ordinary session of the Diet next year.

In addition, in the proposal, in order to prevent confidential information such as cutting-edge technology from leaking out of the country, as a measure to be focused on in the future, new qualifications will be given to those who handle confidential information, and international students and foreign students We are requesting that we strengthen the screening process when accepting foreign researchers.

The Strategy Headquarters will compile the recommendations at the meeting on the 11th and submit them to the government soon.
