Kagawa Prefecture and Takamatsu City announced on the 19th that it was confirmed that eight men and women in their 20s and 50s were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
Of these, one man in his twenties is a staff member of a special elderly nursing home in Takamatsu City, where a cluster of infected people has been confirmed.
Infection was confirmed in 545 people in Kagawa prefecture.
