Before the autumn term 2020, Jeanette Persson applied for care at Komvux in Örebro. The dream was to help the elderly in the same way she had helped her grandfather after he had had a stroke. But that dream disappeared when she had to drop out of education, because the municipality could not offer sign language interpreters.
- My heart broke, it felt like I was not worth anything, she says.
In the clip above, Jeanette talks about her first day of training without an interpreter, even though she wrote about the need for a sign language interpreter in the application for the training.
