Israel, Austria and Denmark establish a coalition to develop Corona vaccines

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel, Austria and Denmark will establish a joint fund for research and development, and possibly to produce vaccines against Covid-19.

"We will establish a joint fund for research and development ... and discuss the possibility of joint investment in vaccine production facilities," he told reporters, next to him, the advisor of Austria and the prime minister of Denmark.

Anger increased in Austria and Denmark over the slow introduction of anti-Covid-19 vaccines in the European Union, amid fears that tackling mutated strains of the Corona virus would require a new generation of vaccines.

Netanyahu said that 90 percent of eligible Israelis received at least one dose of the Pfizer / Biontech vaccine or recovered from the disease.

Netanyahu has made the world-leading Israeli vaccination program a prominent issue in his election campaign, which will take place on March 23.
