German goalkeeper Andre ter Stegen starred and gave Barcelona the pass to the final of the Spanish Super Cup, after beating Real Sociedad on penalties after the end of the match with a 1-1 draw.

Dutch Frankie de Jong took Barcelona with a goal in the 39th minute of the confrontation in Cordoba, and Michael Oriazabal leveled Real Sociedad with a goal in the 51st minute.

The match witnessed the brilliance of Ter Stegen, who was a buffer against all attempts by Sociedad, and his effort capped off two penalty kicks that ended 3-2 in favor of Barcelona.

Barcelona hit a date in the final with the winner of the match that will bring together Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
