  According to statistics, in 2020, the Central Cyberspace Administration (National Internet Information Office) illegal and bad information reporting center received 2.288 million reports, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%; local cyberspace office reporting departments accepted 15.962 million reports, a year-on-year decrease of 27.1 %; major websites across the country accepted 145 million reports, a year-on-year increase of 26.1%.

  Among the reports received by major websites across the country, major commercial websites such as Weibo, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, Sina.com, and Toutiao accounted for 79.6%, reaching 115 million.

  The Central Cyberspace Administration (National Internet Information Office) Reporting Center for Illegal and Unhealthy Information stated that, under the guidance of cybersecurity and informatization departments at all levels, major websites across the country continue to unblock reporting channels and accept and handle reports from netizens.

The majority of netizens can actively participate in comprehensive network governance through channels such as the 12377 reporting phone and the "Internet reporting" client, and jointly maintain a clear cyberspace.
