He doesn't have any money, so the surcharge that Chun Doo-Hwan is still not paying is close to 100 billion won.

So, the prosecution seized the house in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul, where Mr. Jeon lives, and since the house is not in the name of Chun Doo-hwan, lawsuits are continuing over the issue of the redemption of the main house, garden, and outbuildings with different names.

Reporter Ahn Hee-jae will deliver the contents of the judgment that came out today (22nd).

Chun Doo-hwan's house in Yeonhui-dong has a main building, a garden, and an annex, but all have different names.

The main house is in the name of his wife, Soon-ja Lee, the garden is in the name of the former secretary, and the outbuilding is in the name of his third daughter-in-law.

The prosecution, who is in the process of recovering the unpaid surcharge, seized the entire house in 2013 and proceeded with a short sale procedure, and the house was auctioned at 5.13 billion won.

Accordingly, in 2018, the former side filed a number of lawsuits asking for it to be returned.

However, in November of last year, the replacement of the house in Yeonhui-dong was braked.

This is because the Seoul High Court accepted Mr. Jeon's claim that the seizure of the main house and garden was unfair.

The main house and the garden admitted that Lee Soon-ja and the secretary purchased it before the inauguration of former President.

The judgment on the outbuilding was different.

Following the Seoul High Court, the Seoul Administrative Court did not accept Lee's claim that the outbuilding is owned by her.

The annex was judged to be the subject of seizure as it was seen as the property that Mr. Jeon formed through bribes during his presidency.

While Mr. Lee's side is expected to appeal, the prosecution, who had a brake on the collection of the main house and garden, has also sought judgment from the Supreme Court again.

Chun Doo-hwan, who said he would voluntarily pay all his assets in the past, and the prosecutors’ lawsuit that he would protect Yeonhui-dong's house must go to the Supreme Court to reach a final conclusion.
