Olaf Janßen, Eddy Sözer and Günter Kern had also been released, the association announced on Sunday afternoon.

Manager Michael Preetz also had to vacate his post.

Hertha had reacted in the morning to the continuation of the decline in the Bundesliga and separated from Labbadia and Preetz.
