The combination, applied in August and September 2020, was well established.
This employee of a postal sorting center in Tournefeuille, in the western suburbs of Toulouse, spotted bank cards sent by banks to their customers and grabbed them.
The 24-year-old then used them to shop in the city.
In total, 17 individuals, customers of three different banking establishments, were victims of his actions, for a total loss of 33,400 euros.
After his dismissal, the ex-employee left to settle in Val-de-Marne.
It was in the Paris region that he was arrested, before being left free and appearing on Tuesday at the premises of the territorial brigade west of Tournefeuille.
He denies the facts
In police custody, the young man denied the facts, despite CCTV images that did not really testify in his favor.
Brought before the Toulouse public prosecutor's office on Wednesday, he must be tried this Friday in immediate appearance.
