Bremen (dpa / lni) - Comedian, actor and writer Hape Kerkeling receives the Bremen Film Prize for his humorous and comedic oeuvre.
"Whether with his fictional character Horst Schlämmer or his various entertainment formats from" Total Normal "to" Die Welt laughs ", he made the whole of Germany laugh," said the Bremen Film Festival on Monday.
In the black humor comedy “The Boandlkramer and Eternal Love”, Kerkeling plays the devil alongside Michael Bully Herbig.
The film about death personified is the last directorial work by Joseph Vilsmaier, who died last year at the age of 81.
The prize, endowed with 5000 euros, is to be awarded on April 15 as part of the 6th Bremen Film Festival.
The Sparkasse Bremen Film Prize has been honoring personalities from the European film scene for long-term service since 1999.
For the first time, his focus is on humorous and comedic works.
In the past it went to the British actress Tilda Swinton, her German colleague Nina Hoss and the Danish director Lars von Trier, among others.
