The ban applies to both primary and secondary school.

The municipality refers to the fact that they follow the Public Health Agency's guidelines that schools in their activities would not benefit from using mouth guards.

Pauline Broholm Lindberg tells P4 Halland that there are also great risks with mouth guards that are handled incorrectly and that they do not have the opportunity to take responsibility for mouth guards being used correctly within the school.

SVT Nyheter Halland reported earlier this week that the National Union of Teachers believes that teachers should be offered both mouth protection and a visor when the school returns from distance education to on-site teaching on the school premises.
