An impressive warehouse fire broke out in Nice on March 9, 2021 at midday -

At midday on Tuesday, a violent fire broke out in a 400 m2 warehouse, near the Jeanne-d'Arc church, rue Vincent-Fossat in the Liberation district of Nice.

After having received "many calls for a spectacular plume of smoke escaping from a warehouse", indicates the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of the Alpes-Maritimes, a major rescue device has been deployed.

About forty firefighters arrived quickly on the scene with thirteen emergency devices.

During the intervention, the two large ladders were deployed as well as six fire hoses were deployed.

Thirty people evacuated, no casualties

No casualties were reported.

As a precaution, 30 residents of neighboring buildings were evacuated and were taken care of by the health team before being able to return to their accommodation.
