Never two without three… confinements?
This is the question that must have animated Christmas meals.
On the occasion of the launch of the vaccination campaign in France, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran affirmed that the establishment of a third confinement is not excluded if the epidemic situation "were to worsen".
The authorities fear the arrival of a new epidemic wave after the Christmas holidays and remain concerned about the significant circulation of the coronavirus, with "15,000 contaminations detected per day on average, while we had fallen to 11,000 ...", point Olivier Véran.
The situation also remains worrying in several regions and departments (Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Alpes-Maritimes) and several city councilors, notably in Reims and Nancy, are pleading for a reconfiguration.
On December 11, the government took the lead by announcing the establishment of a curfew on December 31 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The New Year should therefore be celebrated in the privacy of one's home, without neighborhood festivities and celebrations in bars and restaurants.
