Berlin (dpa / bb) - A fire broke out in a clinic in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Saturday morning.

The rescue workers were alerted because of a fire in a patient room in the Urban Hospital in Dieffenbachstrasse, as a fire department spokesman announced.

Three hospital employees and two patients were slightly injured by smoke gas.

"You were treated directly in the hospital, but did not have to be treated as an inpatient," said the spokesman.

60 emergency services were on site, the fire was quickly extinguished.

The cause of the fire and the exact course of events were initially unclear.
