Werneuchen (dpa / bb) - A silo in a biogas plant in Werneuchen (Barnim district) caught fire early Wednesday morning.
As a police spokesman said, the fire broke out in the upper roof area of the silo at around 2:45 a.m.
The fire brigade was able to put out the fire.
Nobody got hurt.
Presumably a technical defect was to blame for the fire.
However, final investigations are necessary to determine the exact cause of the fire.
First the "Märkische Oderzeitung" reported.
Accordingly, there was a risk of explosion.
