Munich (dpa) - FC Bayern Munich wants to defend the top of the table in the Bundesliga this Saturday (6.30 p.m. / Sky).

"It's about getting your best performance," said coach Hansi Flick before the always explosive duel with Borussia Dortmund.

Unlike in previous years, Dortmund is fifth behind the Munich team and has no realistic title chances.

"It's a team that is very strong, with one of the top teams in Germany," warned Flick nonetheless.

After the last six depressing Bundesliga games in Munich with zero points and 3:26 goals, BVB longs for the end of the black series.

The focus at the game in Munich is on top scorer Robert Lewandowski at Bayern and Erling Haaland at Dortmund.

FC Augsburg would like to extend its lead over the relegation places on Saturday (3:30 p.m.).

After the 1-0 win at FSV Mainz, another success at Hertha BSC should follow.

"We performed very well in the last few games, and that must also be our claim against Hertha," said coach Heiko Herrlich.
