Classes with 30 or more students are supported by about 2,000 fixed-term teachers to improve students' basic academic skills.

Specifically, about 2,000 fixed-term teachers are assigned to classes of 30 or more of the first to third grades of elementary schools nationwide.

"If it is difficult to expand classes, we will arrange to be assigned as a cooperative teacher with basic academic ability to teach joint classes." .



To support basic academic background, the Ministry of Education established the'National Basic Education Support Center' in March and is also promoting the enactment of related laws.



In addition, the introduction of a learning system using artificial intelligence (AI) that can support individual learning is gradually expanding from last year's 1st and 2nd grade math subjects to elementary school 1st to 4th grade math subjects and 3rd to 6th grade Korean/English subjects.



To expand caring services, we provide care to a total of 459,000 elementary school students through the introduction of the'School Care Center Project', a cooperative caring project between local governments and schools, in September, and expansion of elementary care classes and village caring institutions.



The Ministry of Education plans to expand various forms of two-way communication such as real-time classes, ordinances and religious practices to strengthen communication between students and teachers during distance classes.



To support this, we will fully open video class services in the'e-learning center' and the EBS online class next month.



In order to innovate regulations related to distance learning, we are also promoting the'Basic Law of Distance Education'



In addition, from the first semester of this year, video performance evaluation is allowed for all middle and high school subjects, and the upper limit on the rate of remote lessons, which was limited to 20% in the case of universities, is abolished.



In order to expand the remote teaching infrastructure, a giga-class wireless network will be established in 252,000 classrooms nationwide in the first half of the year.



The Ministry of Education has started the'Green Smart School' project this year to improve the old school building and transform it into a high-tech school, and select 761 buildings for the first target school.



In the case of the high school credit system, where students choose the class they want according to their career path like college students, the system will be extended to the second year of Meister High School.



Through this, the Ministry of Education plans to introduce the high school credit system to all high schools in 2025.
