  In 2019, with the help of the work team, after learning cooking skills in the village, Yakufu went to Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province to become a chef in a restaurant with a monthly salary of 4,500 yuan.

  "In our village, the villagers have a strong desire to go out to find jobs, but because most of the villagers have a low level of education and do not have any skills, they often run into trouble finding jobs," said Zhang Yong, the first secretary and team leader.

In the face of this situation, the work team and the "two committees" of the village learned about the villagers’ employment skills and willingness to work through household visits.   Since 2019, the task force has invited professional and technical personnel from counties and townships to serve as teachers, and has organized practical skills training courses in the village such as cooking, sewing, computer operation, water and electricity maintenance, building decoration, cleaning services, planting and breeding, and trained 2,880 villagers.

  "With the help of the work team, I learned cooking skills in a skill training class. Now I have opened a restaurant in front of the village committee.   In addition to learning skills from villagers, the work team also actively contacted county human resources and social departments and industrial park enterprises to learn about employment information in and out of Xinjiang and local jobs, and actively build bridges to recommend jobs based on villagers’ personal skills and expertise.

  Like Yakufu, more than 130 surplus laborers in the village learned skills with the help of the work team and went to work in and outside Xinjiang successively, and some surplus laborers were employed in industrial parks in the county.

96 villagers started their own businesses locally, with a per capita annual income of more than 15,000 yuan.
