Kiel (dpa / lno) - From March 9, employees in daycare centers and primary schools as well as chronically ill people under 65 years of age in Schleswig-Holstein can be vaccinated with the vaccine from Astrazeneca.

Due to the available amount of the vaccine, the vaccination campaign will be expanded, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.

According to this, from March 9, in addition to daycare educators, primary and special school teachers and the staff of the facilities, people with certain chronic diseases or a mental disability under 65 can have an online vaccination appointment.

The same applies to up to two close contact persons of people in need of care or pregnant people as well as different professional groups who are exposed to an increased risk of infection.

Health Minister Heiner Garg (FDP) wants to provide detailed information on the allocation of vaccination appointments on Thursday (10:00 a.m.).
