Mulfingen (dpa / lsw) - After around 30 years in the company, ebm-papst boss Stefan Brandl is giving up his post at the head of the fan manufacturer.

In the middle of the year, the 52-year-old will switch to the management of the automotive supplier Dräxlmaier in Vilsbiburg, Bavaria, as Vice Chairman, as ebm-papst announced on Monday in Mulfingen (Hohenlohekreis).

Brandl's successor will be his previous vice-president, Thomas Wagner, the managing director responsible for production.

ebm-papst develops and produces fans and drive technology for ventilation and air conditioning systems, for the automotive industry, medical technology and information technology, among other things. According to its own information, the company employs almost 15,000 people worldwide and achieved sales of just under 2.2 billion euros in the 2019/20 financial year. Brandl has been CEO since January 2017.
