The Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications considers cases where there are four or more inquiries to the hospital before the destination of the patient is decided as "cases where transportation is difficult", including the Tokyo Fire Department and the fire departments of prefectural offices nationwide. We request reports from 52 fire departments every week.



In the week from January 4th to 10th, the total number of cases was 2707, which was the highest since April when the survey was started.



The number of cases where transportation is difficult has continued to decrease since mid-August last year, but it has been on an increasing trend since around November, and has nearly doubled compared to the beginning of December.



In addition, it is 88% higher than the same period of the previous year, which is the second highest level after 89% in late April when a state of emergency was declared nationwide.
