Drägerwerk exceeds its own expectations with annual figures

Lübeck (dpa) - The medical and safety technology group Drägerwerk grew strongly thanks to the corona pandemic in the past year.

The company announced on Wednesday evening in Lübeck that sales growth was above its own expectations.

In 2020, revenues rose by more than a fifth to almost three and a half billion euros.

Incoming orders rose by a little more than a third.

Medical technology in particular benefited from the corona pandemic, it said.

Here sales rose by almost a third.

Security technology, on the other hand, only increased sales by a good six percent.

Against the background of decreasing special influences from the corona pandemic, the strong business development will not repeat itself in 2021. The company is therefore anticipating a currency-adjusted sales decline of seven to eleven percent this year.
