According to Shah, the area affected by the glacier rupture disaster is about 14 square kilometers. The government has sent 450 police officers, 5 national emergency response forces, 8 army rescue teams, a navy rescue team and 5 air force helicopters to participate in the rescue operation. .
According to Indian media reports, the current search and rescue efforts are mainly concentrated in a tunnel about 1,700 meters long, and dozens of missing persons may still be trapped in it.
