Bautzen (dpa / sn) - The Bautzen Higher Administrative Court has temporarily suspended two exit restrictions contained in Saxony's current Corona Protection Ordinance.

This emerges from an OVG decision published on Thursday, which is available to the German Press Agency.

Specifically, it is about the night curfew between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and the limitation to a 15-kilometer radius for outdoor sports and exercise.

The urgent application by the applicant from Dresden was directed against the two corresponding paragraphs of the Protection Ordinance of February 12 of this year.

The woman had asserted that it was no longer possible for her to do her regular sport with longer bike rides and to take night walks.

The Saxon Ministry of Social Affairs had requested that the urgent application be rejected.

The court agreed with the woman.

"For the citizens of the Free State of Saxony, this means that there are no longer any extended exit restrictions between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.," said the ministry.

Furthermore, sport and exercise in the open air are no longer limited to a radius of 15 kilometers from their own accommodation.

However, other regulations on exit restrictions remained in force.

The decision is hardly relevant anymore, as the restrictions should no longer be included in the new Corona Protection Ordinance that will apply from next Monday.
