She did not want to accept the curfew from 8 p.m.: A woman in the Canadian province of Québec was still outdoors after the curfew began - but not alone.

Local police said she was keeping a man on a leash.

When asked about her violation of the curfew, the woman replied with a serious expression that she was walking “with her dog”.

According to police, the case occurred in the city of Sherbrooke 150 kilometers east of Montréal.

The officers had the impression that the woman wanted to “put them to the test,” said police spokeswoman Isabelle Gendron.

The stroller and her husband now have to pay a fine of 1,500 Canadian dollars each.

In the province of Québec alone, 23,624 Covid 19 cases have been counted so far

The woman with a man on a leash was not the only curious case in Sheerbrooke: the police officers stopped a drunk driver while checking the curfew.

The latter stated that he "wanted to see what it is like to be outside during the curfew," said Gendron.

So far, 674,485 cases are known in Canada, and 17,233 people have died.
