British media: Aung San Suu Kyi's leading party wants to build a "provisional government" to contend with the military government

Currently, they are seeking formal recognition of this new agency from the United States, Britain and the United Nations.
According to reports, Sassa, who was just nominated as the representative of Myanmar to the United Nations by the Council of Representatives of the Union of Myanmar on the 23rd, introduced this plan in an interview.
The committee was established in the week of the sudden political change in Myanmar, and is composed of members of the National League for Democracy who escaped arrest.
The Representative Committee of the Federal Parliament also held its own swearing-in ceremony.

The report also said that after Thai and Indonesian officials met with a representative of the Myanmar military government this week, Sasa accused other Southeast Asian countries of “not standing with the people of Myanmar”.
The report mentioned that although most members of the National League for Democracy are now either arrested or "at large," Sassar said that the Federal Assembly Representative Committee intends to "be in consideration for the people of Myanmar" and risk establishing an interim government in the country.
According to the Financial Times, the official refused to disclose where he was for security reasons, saying only that he was outside Myanmar, but was "very close."
