Biden restores travel restrictions on nearly 20 countries due to the epidemic

Yesterday, US President Joe Biden signed an executive order that reinstated entry restrictions into the United States, especially for foreigners who visited Britain and South Africa, where two new strains of the main emerging corona virus appeared.

The ban on entry to the United States will apply to the majority of non-US citizens who went to Britain and a large part of Europe, as well as Brazil and South Africa, according to a White House official.

Biden canceled an order for former President Donald Trump to lift the embargoes on some countries by today (Tuesday).

Biden reinstated the ban on travelers coming to the United States from about 20 countries;

Such as Brazil, Britain, Ireland and most of Europe, including France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, and Vatican City.

It also added a travel ban on travelers from South Africa.

With the pandemic worsening and so many variables emerging around the world, White House spokeswoman Jane Saki said, this is not the time to lift restrictions on international travel.

The new developments of the travel ban came at a time when HIV infection rates in the United States reached a bleak stage, amounting to more than 25 million infections, as hospitals and intensive care departments overwhelmed the infected.

The deaths reached at least 420,000 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University, and complaints about the slowdown in the arrival of the vaccine in multiple parts of the states increased.
